Sherpa Camping is for peeps like you who come in from out of town and don't want to lug their camping gear through baggage claim.

TSA Agent: "What is that Mr. Mando?"
Mando: "An axe."
TSA: "It looks like a weapon to me, you could use it to hurt someone."
Mando: "It could also be used to cut wood for campfires."
TSA: "I'm not sure about that."
Mando: "No doubt, information like that is commonly concealed in books."
TSA: "And what is this?"
Mando: "A bow saw. Also used to cut wood. See axe."
TSA: "Hmmm, it has sharp edges."
Mando: "Indeed, unlike your steel sieve of a mind."
TSA: "And this?"
Mando: "Flint, steel and firestarters. Very helpful when combined with the output of effort using the axe and bow saw."
TSA: "It looks flammable."
Mando: "Yes, that's why it is called a 'fire' starter."
TSA: "And this?"
Mando: "A tent, the material is useful for covering someone's face and pouring water over it to waterboard them and make them feel like they are drowning so I can unconstitutionally obtain information from them."
TSA: "Cool, where can I get one?"

Show Sherpa provides everything you need - the tent is already set up, the cots and sleeping bags are set up. They even have small Nepalese children to rub your feet after a long day of music festing.

But in the end, you go home smelling like a yak..........

We are Park and Pitch this year too. There are tons of great camping areas on the grounds and if you think about it, the only time you are in your campsite is to sleep, cook breakfast, drink moonshine and scotch and bourbon that you did not bring into the festival site and join in the numerous picking circles that pop up every day.

In other words, it's going to be a fantastic time and you should come. I have an extra tent, sleeping bag and pack and like I told CC, I can pick you up at the Norfolk, Richmond or Charlottesville Airport.

I will not rub your feet and you have to set up the tent by yourself. I will cook one-pot breakfast in my 12 quart Dutch Oven, but you better like bacon and hot peppers in your eggs.

Im still recooping from the last weekends Jubilee: Physically, mentally, and financially. But thank you, seriously.
You forgot one other thing campsites provide: shelter from
a freakin duluge dumpin rain post-hurricane!

Im sure you sport the finest of roughing it, as I.
(see ~ power camping)
Now, if you will excuse me, I have to go pluck a jalapeƱo
from the garden and throw it in some bacon soaked eggs.
I have the strangest craving all of a sudden :}

HA!
I thought I recognized you in the 1.jpg. From the depths
of the sea to the top of the mountain for you! Did you
sleep well? Or did you have that recurring dream of when
the rope breaks and you go tumbling down? I guess the only
redeeming factor would be that you would be half asleep as
you die I guess.

And the 2.jpeg is great! If you dont like the people you
are camping with, you just have to start up the SUV in the
middle of the nightand let her run! POOF!
Air it out in the morning and get rid of the bodies. A new day...

and 3.jpg...words cant capture that one

#3 - That was a few years back at Thousand Island Lake in the Ansel Adams Wilderness in the Sierra Nevadas. Banner Peak is in the background.

It was a magical trip. I still don't have the appropriate words.

#1 - No way. I am not a marmot, I don't live in a basket hung from a cliff and I prefer my water melted and above me, not below me.

#2 - I could do that.
